“Hi, my name is Thaís and I’m from Uberlândia, Brazil!

The first time Bulgaria came into my life was in a volleyball game I went in my city, where Brazil won in the last set! In the audience, I saw only one family with Bulgaria’s flag and a sign in Cyrillic’s, and that really got my attention. At home, I “goggled” some information about the country and looked up in MyAiesec, if they have any spot in Bulgaria also.

Then, I found one TN with all the characteristics I wanted, the most important of all, it was related with my Geography and Environment, my graduation major.

I’ve never heard about Blagoevgrad (I couldn’t even say the name right), and all my friends and family were asking me what I was going to do in Bulgaria. I didn’t had the answer for then at that time…

Suddenly I was already on the plane on my way to here!

I discovered that the opportunity to teach all my students about my country and about environment is priceless! Also as meeting amazing people at Bulgaria and making some friends I ‘m sure I’ll keep all my life!

I’m really changing myself here! I’m learning how to deal with adversities, challenges, the frustrations and the successes in the others and in myself.

And now I can answer then, that this is what I went here for…”
